Can we take
fish home?
Majority
of our fishing is catch and release. We do allow each
traveller to take a sample of fish home.
2.
What do I need
to bring?
We
do have a list of recommended items to pack which will be
issued 60 days prior to departure. This will help you
decide what you need for your
Northern Territory
fishing adventure.
3.
Can I re-charge
my camera onboard?
Yes,
each cabin has its own 240v PowerPoint for you to charge
your camera throughout the trip.
4.
Can I bring my
own fishing gear?
Yes,
you can bring your own fishing gear. You may need to check
with your flight provider (Qantas/Jetstar/Virgin
Blue) on baggage restrictions. Please bare in mind, we
do have a great range of top quality fishing gear
available to use. Please take a look at our tackle page
for further information.
5.
What
safety measures do you have in place?
Because
we travel to very remote locations, we have loaded the
Mothership with an extensive range of safety measures. The
MV Cannon is fitted with a satellite phone and a state of
the art navigation system. We also carry life rafts,
safety flares, life jackets, life rings, First Aid kits
and fire extinguishers.
The
dinghies are each fitted with an emergency satellite
phone, flares, First Aid Kit and GPS.
6.
How do I
organise my drink order?
We
have a pre-ordering system in place for alcohol beverages.
This means, you simply tell us what you want and we’ll
have it ready onboard for your enjoyment. Ask for the
pre-order form today!
7.
How
do I keep in touch with my family and friends at home?
We
have a satellite phone onboard which can be used by all
passengers. You can make and receive calls throughout your
trip. The cost to make a call is $4.00 per minute.
8.
Is smoking
permitted onboard?
Yes,
smoking is only permitted on the back deck of the MV
Cannon. The crew will show you the designated area once
you are onboard.
9.
Do you have
internet access?
No,
we do not have internet access onboard.
This is an internet free holiday!
10.
What happens if
there is bad weather or a cyclone preventing travel?
We
strongly recommend you take out travel insurance and in
particular cancellation insurance.
The
Captain will have the final say as to whether the trip
commences or returns because of weather conditions.
All
passengers should be aware that parts of the
Northern Territory
may experience cyclones during the December to April
period.
In
the event that the trip is cancelled due to inclement
weather, no refund will be given. Passengers can
re-schedule the trip to the next available date(s) that
are suitable for the group. The full amount paid will
apply to the replacement trip.
In
the event of a commenced trip unable to complete more than
50% (3 days of a standard trip) of the scheduled charter due to
inclement weather, a refund for the remaining days will
apply.
11.
Do you cater
for special diets?
Yes,
we have a full time ala-carte Chef onboard that will
prepare sumptuous meals throughout your trip. If you have
any special requests or dietary requirements please let is
know.
