HIGHLIGHTS

Victorian Settlement

View a piece of Top End history while wandering the ruins of the abandoned Victoria Settlement on the shores of Port Essington.

In the remote Coburg Region, we’ll take you for a walk through the remains of a failed British Navy settlement, still standing after being built in 1838. This disastrous attempt to settle was hit with famine, sickness, a hurricane and a general inability to acclimatise to the oppressive climate.

Have a glimpse into life of those on a military settlement trying to survive in the remote Top End and take in some of the views of the vast Garig Gunak Barlu National Park.

King and Goomadeer Rivers

Sail into this uncharted region of the Northern Territory where our sportfishing expedition takes us East from Cape Don, along the coast and inland along the untouched King and Goomadeer Rivers.

Lined with lush vegetation, these rivers are in pristine condition, surrounded by largely uninhabited lands for the kind of unspoilt fishing conditions most sport fishers only dream of!

With Barramundi, Macleay’s Glassfish, Sooty Grunter, Northern Trout Gudgeon, Rainbowfish, Bony Bream, Catfish and the Sleepy Cod just a few of the many species who call these rivers home, you might just have your best catch yet!.

Spot feral pigs and buffalo roaming wild, catch sight of the endangered pig-nosed turtle and watch the mud banks for saltwater crocs – there’s always something to see.

Untouched Fishing Spots

Enjoy the novelty of fishing where very few have fished before!

Creek, reef and bluewater fishing opportunities abound – we can almost guarantee you’ve never had a sportfishing experience like this before.

For the creek fishing enthusiasts, we’ll navigate through the Majari, Wurugoij and Nungbalgarri Creeks, where you’ll find a huge variety of species just waiting to be caught! Croker Island, Grant Island, Mc Cluer Island and North Goulburn Island offer sparkling waters and white shores for reef and bluewater fishing.

The ultimate sport fishers paradise, fish for Barramundi, Threadfin Salmon and Queenfish to Giant Trevally during this trip – and a multitude of other species who have never seen a hook in their lives!

Testimonial

I’ve been on a lot of wonderful fishing trips in my life, but I must say this was a 10+.

Guys were perfect, boat was immaculate, fishing was wonderful!

Now that I have a taste for Australia I think I must come back sometime soon.
